Manaus, Brazil, August 16, 2021 – Zyxel Communications announced that it has started manufacturing in Brazil, in the city of Manaus, Amazonas.

Zyxel currently runs two distribution centers in Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro and an office in São Paulo. The newly established production site will add extra momentum to Zyxel's business in South America. It is estimated that the Zyxel Brazilian branch will double its revenues this year. The production site will first manufacture Ethernet WiFi routers and GPON products designed especially for Internet Service Providers. The first batch is expected to deliver this month.

According to statistics released by Abrint, a Brazilian Association of Internet and Telecommunications Providers, the increase in demands from local Internet Service Providers has grown 47% since the beginning of the pandemic. Another statistic from Anatel, a National Telecommunications Agency, showed that 60% of the country's connection comes from local ISPs.

"The establishment of production site shows Zyxel’s commitment to the Brazilian market and local suppliers. It speeds up our deliveries to meet the robust local demands," said Leo Yang, Business Development Manager of Zyxel Communications.
