At Zyxel, we believe education is the key to which humankind solves future challenges and the driver for social mobility. Inspired by our Founder, Dr. Shun-I Chu, we have developed a comprehensive talent cultivation program to encourage high school and college students to finish their studies or research without interruption due to financial disadvantages. Working closely with academia and research institutions, we provide local students abundant, quality education resources and ensure a constant stream of new talents in the industry.

Shun-I Chu Zyxel Scholarship
Established in 1999, the Shun-I Chu Zyxel Scholarship program manifests Dr. Chu’s education philosophy. From his personal experience, he believes education plays a significant role in shaping one’s life. Dr. Chu expects the Scholarship program will support more young talents in continuing to gain education and professional training to achieve their career goals. In the last two decades, the scholarship has granted nearly US$5 million (NT$145 million) in support of over 5,000 students from the listed universities and high schools in Taiwan.

NTHU Rising Sun Scholarship
The National Tsing Hua University Rising Sun Scholarship was established to provide financial aid for students from low-income families. We have made regular annual donations to sponsor the Scholarship program since 2016.

Network and Telecommunications Development Fund
In 1998, Dr. Chu donated NT$10 million to National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University to establish the Network and Telecommunications Development Fund, and again committed additional 5 million shares of Unizyx Holding Corporation (Now is Zyxel Group Corporation) stocks in 2011. Taking advantage of the derived interests, the Fund has improved education and research of telecommunication technology and deepened knowledge exchange between academia and industry. Dr. Chu’s contribution to the industry development was recognized by the ERSO Award in 2017.
