Hsinchu, Taiwan, October 27, 2021 – Zyxel Communications Corporation announced Mr. Karsten Gewecke as its new President and Ms. Denise Lin as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective November 1, 2021. The change aims to further strengthen the company’s focus on overseas markets as well as ensure a continued strong leadership in its global supply chain.
With several decades of experience working with technology companies, as new President Gewecke will bring his current success in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region to the company’s global strategy.
In his new role, Gewecke will develop and execute Zyxel Communications’ global strategy for marketing, sales, and technology as the company continues to deliver innovative 5G, Mesh, WiFi 6 and 10G fiber technologies to service providers around the world.
Gewecke, a Denmark native first joined the Zyxel Communications team in 1999 as a technical & market manager. Most recently, Gewecke was Senior Vice President and head of the EMEA regional business unit. Under his leadership, the business unit broke sales records each year and accomplished a 30% annual growth rate the recent 3 years in a row.
Lin, the newly appointed COO, brings a strong leadership to the global supply chain and operational management. Having joined the company originally in 1993, Lin has played key roles in the company leadership.
Most recently, Lin held the role as President, where she led the company to new historical heights through the difficult times during the pandemic.
