The Zyxel SDA3016SS is an All-in-One PON SDN Access OLT that simultaneously supports XGS-PON, GPON, and Combo PON technologies. The carrier-grade temperature-hardened compact hardware design gives service providers deployment flexibility for diverse environments.
Incorporating merchant chipsets and an x86 commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) CPU module, the Zyxel SDA3016SS empowers service providers to build open, programmable PON platforms. Compatible with ONF VOLTHA-based software, BBF OB-BAA-based software, or third-party proprietary software, SDA3016SS-powered networks deliver superior interoperability across technologies and equipment from a variety of vendors. Service providers can shorten time to market and extend their access networks without delays related to lengthy standardization or resolving IOP issues.
Zyxel SDA3016SS allows your PON access network to evolve beyond traditional monolithic architectures where the control and forwarding plane are hosted on the same device. The disaggregated access network lets service providers control multiple OLT boxes as if they were cards in a chassis while scaling and customizing services based on customer needs.
The SDA3016SS supports up to 16-port AIO PON interfaces. This provides service providers with the flexibility to operate both GPON and XGS-PON simultaneously across the same networks. The two 100G QSFP28 and 25G SFP28 ports in the uplink interface allow service providers to roll out the next-generation PON broadband services ahead of the competition. The QSFP28 ports enable non-blocking downlink to uplink capacity for services delivering superior bandwidth and speeds. In addition, the SFP28 ports offer service providers the flexibility to adopt cost-competitive 25G SFP28 or 10G SFP+ transceivers.
Able to tolerate in a wide range of temperature, the SDA3016SS can be deployed anywhere from data centers to remote cabinets. The carrier-class compact design with 1 RU height and 260mm depth, ETSI-rack compliance, and all-front access makes the SDA3016SS easy to install for an array of scenarios.
